Everything you need to run real stock

Built for Canadian retail, e-commerce, and trades businesses that want one source of truth across every location and every invoice.

Real-time SKU tracking

Every SKU is tracked live across every location. Stock movements stream into the dashboard the second a sale, transfer, or count happens.

Multi-location warehouses

Run unlimited locations -- warehouses, retail counters, service vans, pop-ups -- with per-location reorder points and full transfer audit history.

Mobile barcode scanning

Scan UPC, EAN, Code128, and QR codes with any phone or Bluetooth scanner. Receive POs, fulfil orders, and run physical counts from the warehouse floor.

Low-stock alerts

Per-SKU reorder points trigger email, SMS, and dashboard alerts the moment on-hand dips below the threshold -- before you stockout.

Supplier reorder automation

The reorder agent drafts and sends purchase orders to your suppliers via API or email when stock dips. Auto-send or one-click approve.

HST on COGS, per province

Landed cost captures GST/HST/QST/PST split by province on every stock movement, so COGS journal entries and your CRA ITC return are accurate from day one.

One stock ledger for the whole suite

MapleInventory is the single source of truth for stock across MapleBuy storefronts and MapleInvoice billing -- no glue code, no webhooks to babysit.

MapleBuy storefronts

When a customer pays on a MapleBuy storefront, the matching SKUs decrement instantly. Returns and cancellations restore stock. Multi-location storefronts pull from their assigned warehouse automatically.

MapleInvoice billing

When you send a MapleInvoice with line items linked to SKUs, on-hand drops as soon as the invoice is marked sent (or paid -- your choice). Credit notes refund stock back to the original location.

MapleConcierge AI assistant

Ask "How many Birch Sap Filters are left across all warehouses?" or "Reorder anything below 20% safety stock" in plain English -- MapleConcierge reads MapleInventory directly.

Open API + webhooks

REST + webhooks for Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Square, and custom ERPs. EDI-style POs out to suppliers. Built in Canada, hosted in Toronto, PIPEDA-aligned.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about MapleInventory. Have something else? Email support@mapleworksuite.com.

What is MapleInventory?

MapleInventory is a Canadian-hosted stock and warehouse management app for retailers, e-commerce sellers, and trades businesses. It tracks SKUs in real time across multiple locations, fires low-stock alerts before you run out, scans barcodes on a phone, automates supplier reorders, and deducts stock the moment a MapleInvoice goes out or a MapleBuy storefront takes an order.

How is MapleInventory different from Cin7, Lightspeed Retail, or Zoho Inventory?

Cin7 is enterprise-priced (US$349+/mo) and built for global 3PL fulfilment; Lightspeed Retail ties inventory to its own POS hardware and charges per register; Zoho Inventory is solid but US-centric and has weak GST/HST/QST handling for Canadian operators. MapleInventory is Canadian-hosted in Toronto, calculates HST on COGS per province, ties into MapleBuy and MapleInvoice with zero glue code, and starts at $0 CAD for up to 50 SKUs.

Can MapleInventory track stock across multiple warehouses?

Yes. Each warehouse, retail counter, service van, or pop-up location is its own stock pool. You can transfer between locations with a full audit trail, run physical counts per location, and set per-location reorder points (e.g. keep more bottles in the Halifax warehouse than the Calgary one). There is no cap on locations on Business or Enterprise plans.

Does MapleInventory support barcode scanning on mobile?

Yes. The MapleInventory mobile app (iOS and Android) uses the phone camera to scan UPC, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code128, Code39, and QR codes. You can scan to receive a PO, scan to fulfil an order, scan to do a physical count, or scan to look up a product. Bluetooth scanners (Zebra, Honeywell, Socket Mobile) are supported on tablets and laptops too.

How does MapleInventory integrate with MapleBuy and MapleInvoice?

MapleInventory is the single stock source of truth for the whole suite. When a MapleBuy storefront order is paid, stock decrements automatically. When a MapleInvoice goes out with line items linked to SKUs, stock decrements again. Refunds, credit notes, and order cancellations restore stock. No webhooks, no zaps, no manual CSV exports -- one Canadian-hosted database shared across MapleBuy + MapleInvoice + MapleInventory.

How does supplier reorder automation work?

Each SKU has a reorder point and a preferred supplier. When on-hand drops below the reorder point, the supplier reorder agent generates a purchase order, emails or POSTs it to the supplier via their API or EDI endpoint, and tracks the PO through receiving. You can set the agent to auto-send or to require one-click approval. Last week the agent auto-reordered 3 items across the MapleWorkSuite reference tenant with zero human intervention.

Does MapleInventory handle HST on cost of goods sold (COGS) for Canadian businesses?

Yes. Every stock movement captures the landed cost including GST/HST/QST/PST split by province, so when items are sold or written off the COGS journal entry is HST-accurate. The CRA Input Tax Credit (ITC) report aggregates recoverable tax on inventory purchases by quarter, which your bookkeeper can drop straight into your GST/HST return. Provincial breakdowns cover all 13 provinces and territories.

Is MapleInventory priced in CAD, and is there a free plan?

Yes -- all pricing is in Canadian dollars, billed via Stripe in CAD with no FX surprises. The Free plan covers up to 50 SKUs and one location forever. Pro is $19 CAD/month for up to 500 SKUs, Business is $49 CAD/month for up to 5,000 SKUs and multi-location, and Enterprise is $149 CAD/month for unlimited SKUs, dedicated CSM, and PIPEDA audit log retention.

How does MapleInventory compare to Zoho Inventory?

Zoho Inventory is a capable SKU manager, but it is US-centric: GST/HST/QST splits are bolt-on, pricing is in USD, and data lives in Zoho regions outside Canada. MapleInventory is hosted in Toronto, computes HST on COGS per province natively, prices in CAD (bash free / 9 Pro / 9 Business), and ships with no-glue-code sync into MapleBuy storefronts and MapleInvoice. If you are a Canadian operator filing ITCs and using Maple billing, MapleInventory removes the spreadsheet between Zoho exports and your accountant.

How does MapleInventory compare to Square for Retail?

Square for Retail is a POS-first product: inventory is a feature attached to the Square hardware and payment processor, with monthly fees per register plus 2.65% card-not-present and 2.7% in-person rates. MapleInventory is inventory-first and POS-agnostic. You keep the payment processor you already use, you can run zero, one, or twenty locations on a single plan, and stock auto-decrements from MapleBuy or MapleInvoice without paying Square per-tap. If you want the Square POS aesthetic without lock-in to Square hardware, MapleInventory plus a MapleBuy storefront is the swap.

Is MapleInventory PIPEDA-compliant?

Yes. MapleInventory is hosted in Canadian data centres (Toronto + Montreal failover), all SKU records, supplier contacts, and PO history stay inside Canadian borders, and Enterprise tier includes a 7-year tamper-evident audit log of every stock movement. We never replicate inventory data outside Canada. The Privacy Office contact for access requests is privacy@mapleworksuite.com.

Can I export my entire SKU database if I leave MapleInventory?

Yes, and you do not need to ask permission. Every plan including Free has a one-click CSV export of the full SKU catalog, stock-on-hand by location, supplier list, PO history, and 24 months of stock movements. Pro and above add a JSON export and a one-shot S3 dump. We do not gate exports behind a retention window, an account-closure form, or a sales call. If our product stops being the right fit, the door is propped open. (We would rather you stay because the integrations are good, not because the data is hostage.)
