Your logo, next to every email you send.
BIMI puts your verified logo beside your messages in supporting inboxes. It tells people the email is really from you, and it makes your mail stand out. Getting it is slow and fiddly: a correct logo file, strict email authentication, DNS records, and a certificate from a certificate authority. We run the whole process for you and keep it working afterwards.
Not sure your domain is ready? MapleConfidence checks the email authentication BIMI depends on.

What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is an email standard that shows your verified brand logo next to your messages in supporting inboxes. To qualify, a domain needs SPF, DKIM and an enforced DMARC policy, a logo in a flat vector format, and usually a certificate from a certificate authority. MapleBIMI is our done-for-you service in Canada: we prepare each piece, apply for the certificate, publish the records and keep it working.
BIMI does not move mail out of spam. It shows your logo on mail that is delivered, and not every mailbox provider supports it.

Choose your route
There is more than one way to get a logo into inboxes. We explain each one honestly and set up the one that fits your business.
| Route | What you get | What it needs | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo with the verified check mark Verified Mark Certificate | Your logo, plus the verified check mark, in the inboxes that support it. The most visible option. | A registered trademark of your exact logo, in a trademark office the certificate authority accepts. We can point you to the right people for the trademark. | Longest. A trademark can take many months, sometimes more than a year. |
| Logo without the check mark Common Mark Certificate | Your logo in the inboxes that support it, without the check mark. No trademark needed. | Proof that you have used the logo publicly for a period of time, usually about a year. We help you gather the evidence. | Medium. Depends on how long your logo has been in public use. |
| Records only No certificate | The logo file and the DNS record are set up and correct. Some mailbox providers may show the logo without a certificate, but the largest ones do not. | Strict email authentication on your domain. Nothing else. | Fastest. A good first step, and it keeps you ready for a certificate later. |
We never promise that a particular mailbox provider will show your logo. Each provider decides for itself, and the rules change. We tell you where things stand at every step.
The whole process, not just a record
BIMI fails quietly when any one piece is wrong. We take care of each piece and check it.
Your logo, in the right format
BIMI needs a flat, square vector logo in a special format. Send us your logo, or tell us to use the business logo already on your account. We prepare the file and show you the result before anything goes live.
Email authentication that qualifies
BIMI only works when SPF, DKIM and DMARC are in place and DMARC is enforced. We check your domain, fix what is missing, and move DMARC up carefully by reading your reports first, so your real mail is not caught.
The certificate application
We prepare and submit the application to the certificate authority, handle the identity checks and questions, and keep the paperwork organized. The certificate is issued in your business name.
DNS and hosting
We publish the BIMI record and host the logo and certificate files. For domains we manage, we do it directly. For domains managed elsewhere, we give you the exact record and confirm when it is right.
Tracked from start to finish
Even when the logo or trademark takes a year, nothing gets lost. Every step is recorded, you are told when something changes or when we need something from you, and you can ask where things stand at any time.
Ongoing support
Certificates expire, DNS gets changed, and mailbox providers update their rules. We watch for it, renew the certificate when it is due, and fix problems when your logo stops showing.
How it works
From first conversation to a logo in the inbox.
- 1
We check your domain
We review your email authentication and your logo, then recommend a route and tell you honestly how long it will take.
- 2
We get the foundations right
Authentication fixed, DMARC enforced safely, and the logo prepared in the correct format.
- 3
We apply for the certificate
If you chose a certificate route, we run the application, and the trademark or proof-of-use step if one is needed.
- 4
We publish and test
We add the DNS record, host the files, and test with real messages to see where your logo appears.
- 5
We keep it working
Renewals, monitoring and support, for as long as you want the service.
What it costs
Two parts: our service fee, and the certificate and trademark costs that third parties charge. We show you both before you commit, and you choose who pays whom.
Our service fee
| Route | One-time fee | Ongoing support, per month | Support with MapleMonitor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Records only No certificate | $470 | $15 | $12 |
| Logo without the check mark Common Mark Certificate | $995 | $25 | $20 |
| Logo with the check mark Verified Mark Certificate, includes trademark coordination | $1,525 | $25 | $20 |
Bundle ongoing support with MapleMonitor and take 20% off the monthly support price. The bigger the job, the higher the one-time fee, because it takes more of our time. Our fees are set 15% below what we found other providers charging in Canada.
Third-party costs
| Item | Typical cost | Paid to |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate without the check mark, per year | about $900 to $1,950 | The certificate authority |
| Certificate with the check mark, per year | about $1,030 to $2,420 | The certificate authority |
| Trademark: government filing fee, first class | $491.06 | The Canadian trademark office |
| Trademark: professional fees, one class | about $800 to $1,750 | A registered trademark agent |
Who pays the third parties
You pay them directly
We give you a step-by-step checklist and review your work. The certificate and the trademark are bought by you, in your name. The lowest cost option.
We handle the certificate for you
We run the certificate application and you pay the certificate authority directly. Or we pay it for you and pass the cost on at what we paid, with no markup.
Trademark through a registered agent
In Canada, filing a trademark for someone else is work for a registered trademark agent. We connect you with one, track the application for you, and keep your BIMI work moving while it is processed.
Prices as of November 5, 2026. Certificate and trademark prices are set by third parties and may change at any time. We review them every 45 days, and we confirm the current figure in your written quote before any work starts. Certificate prices are converted from US dollars at the current exchange rate. All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST and other applicable taxes.
What we cannot do
BIMI is worth having, and it has limits. You should know them up front.
- We cannot make a mailbox provider show your logo. Each provider decides, and some do not support BIMI at all.
- We cannot skip the certificate authority's checks. The trademark or proof of public use is required for the routes that need it, and it takes the time it takes.
- We cannot enforce DMARC if your real mail would break. If a legitimate sender on your domain fails authentication, we fix that first.
- A logo does not fix a spam problem. BIMI is not a delivery tool. It helps recipients recognise you, and your mail still has to earn its place in the inbox.
