What is MapleResearch?
MapleResearch is a pay-per-lookup data enrichment tool for Canadian businesses. Give it a phone number, email, address, or company name, and it returns matching person/company details from public sources — then lets you add the result straight into your contacts, leads, or tags in one click.
What does each lookup cost?
You pay per lookup, in CAD: a phone lookup is $0.10, an email lookup is $0.10, an address lookup is $0.25, and a company lookup is $0.50. You top up a dedicated research balance and spend it as you go — no monthly seat, no annual contract.
How do the "add as" actions work?
On any finished lookup you get three one-click verbs: Add as contact (creates a MapleContact prefilled from the result), Add as lead (pushes it into your marketing lead list), and Add tag (tags the result and applies it to the contact). Everything writes into the same Maple tables you already use elsewhere — no export, no glue.
Will it create duplicate contacts?
No. The add-as actions are deduped: re-adding the same result returns the existing record instead of creating a copy. It matches on email first, then phone, then the original lookup, so your CRM stays clean.
Why does "Add as lead" sometimes need an email?
A marketing lead requires an email address. If you ran a phone, address, or company lookup that did not surface an email, MapleResearch tells you a lead needs one rather than creating an incomplete record. You can still add the result as a contact or apply a tag.
How long does a lookup take?
Most lookups complete in about 1 to 3 minutes. Submit it and the result appears in your MapleResearch dashboard when it is ready.
Where is my data stored?
Results stay in Canada under PIPEDA and are scoped to your account only — another tenant can never see your lookups or the records you create from them.
Is it part of MapleWorkSuite?
Yes. MapleResearch is one of the Maple apps. The records you create flow into MapleContacts and your lead list, so the rest of the suite (email, marketing, invoicing) can act on them. Pricing is in CAD.
